"I gained a scholarship from Coffs Harbour City Council through the University, so I was able to work down in the council with a team of engineers working on roads, water pipes, concrete footpaths and bridges. That was a great experience to step into the industry. After that, I got a job with a structural firm and that's where I'm working now."
